Episode 18, "A Woman's Wealth Restored" In the Heart of God
Show Notes Transcript

Hello and welcome to Episode 18 in our series, “In the Heart of God.” This is Apostle Charles Wright, and we continue with our theme, “Women Who Got What They Wanted.” Today, we will focus on a woman who would not be denied a financial restoration. That is the woman who lost a precious coin and searched until she found it. We will discuss who this woman was; how she found that coin; and ask what is the significance of that coin in our lives.

Let’s join Stephanie as we go into the Heart of God.

STEPHANIE: Apostle Charles, thank you for the introduction to today’s podcast. Our lesson today comes from Luke 15:8‑10. As previously referenced by Apostle Charles, Jesus tells a parable of a woman who had ten silver coins. She lost one of them in her home. It must have been nighttime because the scripture says she lit a candle and started sweeping the house. In time she found her silver coin. She was so overwhelmed with joy that she called her friends and neighbors together and asks them to rejoice with her.

Verse 10 of Luke 15, compares the joy this woman and her friends had to the joy of God’s angels when one sinner repents.

God cares for the lost and he will sweep into the darkest corners of the earth to save one soul.

I would like to take this parable one step further and say this. God cares when we have lost something precious. And He will go with us to the deepest depths to find it. It is in the Heart of God to restore us to a place of completeness.

Have you lost something precious and you’re not sure how it will be found? What did the woman do who lost her precious coin? She lit her candle and searched in the dark. She got her broom ad she swept away anything that was blocking her vision to find that coin.

We are like that woman when it comes to finding the priceless thing we have lost.

But our light is not a manmade candle. Our light is the Holy Spirit, who is our guide in every situation. When we don’t know what direction to take to find our coin, the Holy Spirit will guide us.

I have a challenging project ahead of me and everywhere I turned for advice, I was blocked. But I kept calling out to God to send me help and He answered. That is my coin, someone to help me with my project.

I also recently had a conflict with a loved one and I had others pray with me. I also had to forgive this person for what happened even though they did not ask for forgiveness. Slowly, this loved one started coming around and in their own way, they did ask for forgiveness. That is another coin for me, restoring a broken relationship.

Concerning the project and the relationship I just mentioned, I did pray and fasted while I cried out to God. I said earlier that the woman who searched for her coin took a broom and swept away what was blocking her vision and then she found the coin. We also have to sweep away anything that is blocking our vision to find what we are searching for to be restored to us. The Word of God tells us to lay aside every weight or in this case, sweep away every weight. Hebrews 12:1. You know what may need to be swept away to find your coin. So, get your spiritual broom out and start sweeping.

Let’s not be spiritually defiant or indifferent. Some things God has already told you outright you will not get back. So, don’t ask for THAT thing. But listen, have you ever looked desperately for one thing and found something else you gave up looking for long ago. That’s how God works. If he tells you that you will not get THAT thing back, He will help you find something better.

My prayer for you is that you may know that we are not the daughters and sons of a pauper. We are the daughters and sons of the King of Kings. It is in the Heart of God for you to be whole and live life abundantly. God wants you to be restored to what is rightfully yours so trust Him for it. Look to the Holy Spirit to be a lamp unto your path and a light unto your feet. Psalm 119:105. And get your broom and start sweeping. You are about to find a great treasure.
